Give arted4kiddos a whirl!  This free sampler contains the first project and associated instructional materials from each of the five downloadable levels.  Keep in mind, that there are dozens of projects and activities to choose from at each level.  
 
Some of these projects might seem pretty complicated, so let’s break it down.
 
I started the year with a wiz-bang project to get them into the right headspace for art learning. 

My projects generally take more than one class session to complete.  In each session, they take on a new task goal and only need materials for that day's work, so don’t feel that lesson prep will sink you.  I indicated my daily task goals with an asterisk (on the cover sheet of each project).

The first grading cycle came up FAST for me!  Once we had gone through classroom procedures on the first day, we would “dive right in"  to a "gradable"  project. You might want to do an easier project, a sponge activity, or an art appreciation discussion to start the year. Use this product to meet your needs as you see fit!
